Seed and Plant Swop
We will be hosting a Seed and Plant Swop during the Spring Show on Saturday 5 April 2025. Please bring along your contributions and leave them at the Swop Desk in the Village Hall. When the Spring Show opens to the public at 1.30 pm you may return and select a “swop” and make a donation if you wish.
Bring along seed heads from your garden, preferably in a paper bag (we will extract the seed and package it into smaller packets), saved seed, surplus from your own commercial seed packets or any surplus seedlings and plants.
Please provide any information that you have about the seeds/plants and their growing requirements. Anything will be helpful - from full latin name and growing instructions to “pretty blue flower”.

About The Society
Our Society aims to preserve the traditions of the Village Show. We embrace Horticulture, Cookery, Crafts, Flower Arranging with categories for Adults and Juniors. We encourage entrants with little experience as well as seasoned professionals. The intention is to stimulate friendly competition whilst pursuing perfection. We are affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society and 2025 is our 53rd season.
The Society has a strong link with the Parish Garden Plots and is pleased to sponsor the Community Garden which helps local residents without access to a garden to grow and share fresh produce. More information can be found in the Handbook Section.
